Put A Bird On It!

For those of you with a handmade business, particularly those on Etsy, I guarantee this will make you laugh! Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with birds (75% of my products have birds on them) but we all know it's a little bit overdone, right?

This clip is from Portlandia, which airs on IFC. Oh, how I wish we had IFC on our cable line-up!

Newbies

I'd like to introduce you to the two newest items in my shop! First, above, is the Addison design. I love the bright, fun colors and the little critters on the cover are seriously adorable.

And this is the sweet Sophia design. Can't go wrong with sweet, little birds, right?

Indie 3.0

What's Indie 3.0? Well, it's the online course that I'm currently taking, headed up by Lisa Leonard {whom I adore and got to hang out with at The Creative Connection this past September}, Leigh-Ann & Jill.

Yeah, that's me and a bunch of AMAZINGLY talented {and kind} businesswomen just hanging out at Gussy's house the last night of The Creative Connection. From left to right, Jessica from Allora Handmade, Lindsey from The Pleated Poppy, Maggie from GussySews, Lisa Leonard from Lisa Leonard Designs, Allison from O My Family, Mique from 30 Days, Emmy from Much Ado About You and little ol' me. I remember hanging with these ladies and having them all ask me if I had a blog. Sadly, the answer was "no" because {I was thinking to myself} blogs are scary, require too much work and what do I have to write about anyway!

Then Indie 3.0 enters my life - this course has given me a huge boost of confidence and has me excited about all the ways my business can grow. I recently finished the "Blogging Effectively" portion of the class and have decided to dive in to the blog world despite my fears. Looking forward to connecting with you!
